Joe Rogan offers 100K to facilitate COVID vaccine debate on his podcast

Let me summarize:

RFK was recently on The Joe Rogan Experience and debunked many of the myths surrounding the vaccine (many of the same myths perpetuated here at the RX). Dr. Peter Hotez called these discussions "misinformation" and has been very vocal about his support for the vaccines.

Joe Rogan offered Hotez an opportunity to debate RFK on his podcast with no time limit. 100K to charity. Well, others called Hotez's bluff and now the pot is well over $1.5M all of which would go to a charity of their choosing.

Why are these doctors and scientists afraid to debate their positions in a public setting? If it comes down to science, the positions they take should be fairly straight forward I'd like to think.

I think we should all just move beyond all the nonsense we experienced 3 years ago. Masks don't work, the vaccines don't keep you from getting COVID and the lockdowns were unconstitutional. All of this is very clear.

I want to hear an apology from all these experts that made our life miserable for the last three years. They need to acknowledge they were wrong.

1) They need to publicly acknowledge COVID came from the Chinese lab.
2) They need to publicly acknowledge they censored (via social media) anything that didn't align with the Big Pharma narrative.
3) They need to publicly acknowledge masks were ineffective.
4) They need to publicly acknowledge the vaccines don't prevent the spread of COVID.
5) They need to publicly acknowledge putting young COVID patients in to nursing homes with older vulnerable people ultimately killed them.
6) They need to publicly acknowledge shutting down the country was unconstitutional.
7) They need to publicly acknowledge most people died with COVID not because of COVID.

This is a good start.

The entire industry was exposed.......they follow marching orders like everyone else, look what happened to those who went "rogue" and tried to tell the truth .....they were shunned and/or fired and in some cases worse.

Even if a doctor really cares about his patients, he cares about himself just a tad bit more.....

Speaking on just myself. A friend of my dad was a drug rep.

Asked a doctor if he could hurry up and make a decision because he could win a trip from his company. Doctor called his company and the company immediately fired him.

What u guys are describing definitely happens but there are definitely doctors that want absolutely no part in it.....

The medication is fine the prices are the problem.

Enfuego, I'm going to say I agree with most of your positions. And while the vaccines may or may not have prevented the spread of Covid, they absolutely reduced the seriousness of the disease

I do not believe the vaccines were harmful, or maybe I should say they did far more good than harm. Just like every medication or medical treatment, there are side effects for some

we're on the opposite side on this. I will avoid doctors ,vaccines ,drugs at all costs until I get more answers. Thankfully for me, I'm about as healthy as you can be, so not exactly playing Russian roulette here.
